The 9th annual Siciliano's Home Brew party was held at Johnson Park on Saturday, May 5th. As usual, it was an excellent party with lots of good people and beer. For the second year in a row The MOB took top honors. Here's some pictures from that event.
2011 MOB Christmas Brew Party
The first annual MOB Christmas Brew Party was hosted by Chad Doane on December 23rd, 2011 and was a riot! Thanks to Chad for putting up with us all and providing an excellent place for brewing. Here are some pictures for the event. Merry Christmas!
Learn To Homebrew Day
Saturday, November 5, 2011 was Learn to Homebrew Day. This years event was held at the home of Eric "Easy E" Hoffman. We had 10 brewers show up with their equipment and we brewed 70 gallons of beer. There were quite a few non-brewers there so the day was a huge success. Thanks to Eric for hosting this event.
August Meeting - Big Brew Day
The August meeting was difficult to arrange so we just had a big brew day at "The Mashers" house. Only three of us made it but we still had a good time. Here's some pictures from the event.
Ross Wins Best Of Show!
As you all know, Ziggy "The Hauler" won Best Of Show in the Siciliano's Homebrew Contest for 2011 and now he gets to brew his beer at The Hop Cat in downtown Grand Rapids! We are so proud of Ross for this huge accomplishment. Here's some pictures from the Siciliano's Homebrew Party.
AHA Big Brew Day 2011
The MOB's 1st annual Big Brew was a great success. We had a great turnout. There were 7 batches of beer made for a total of 45 us gallons brewed by The MOB. 2 batches of the AHA Porter recipe were brewed and 2 batches of the AHA Wit were made, as well as a Blonde Ale, an IPA, and a Pilsner. The weather was amazing and a few of us got some nice sun burns.
First meeting of The MOB
The first official meeting of The MOB was a huge success. At one time I counted twenty three people at the meeting. Thanks again to Chris Michner and Odd Side Ales for allowing us to hold the meeting at his brewpub. Here's a couple pictures from the meeting.
